Community groups encouraged to sign up for Blairgowrie and Rattray showcase event

A popular showcase event highlighting everything that is going on in Blairgowrie and Rattray is set to return for a fourth year.

The event, which this year takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm in Blairgowrie Town Hall, is being organised by Blairgowrie and Rattray Development Trust (BRDT) and offers community groups, event organisers and associations in Perthshire’s largest town an opportunity to highlight the work they are doing in the town.

More than 30 community organisations took part in the 2025 event, many of whom have signed up to attend again this year.

Lesley McDonald is operations officer with BRDT. She said: “Have you ever asked what there is to do in Blairgowrie and Rattray? If so, the Town Event is for you.

“The Town Event brings together lots of community groups and organisations who provide information and updates on the work that their hardworking volunteers are doing in the town.

“It also provides an opportunity for those who go along to get involved with some of the initiatives and projects carried out by the groups.

“It’s a great event so wherever your interests lie - whether it’s in community development, sports and recreation, the environment and biodiversity or whatever – save the date as we’re sure there is a group that will appeal to you!”

The event is free to attend, and refreshments will be available.

Anyone who is interested in finding out more about the event, including how to take part, should contact the Trust by emailing [email protected]for further details.
